Major topics to be discussed and reviewed relate to the challenges in network planning and scheduling: Advances on forecasting and network and schedule optimization, such as demand forecasting, market share forecasting, robust scheduling, fleet assignment, network strategies, codeshare/alliance decisions, maintenance routing, collaboration between schedule optimization and revenue management and crew/airport/air/maintenance management, and many more. As usual, we will meet and network with colleagues from many airlines, service and product providers, and academia! Besides our technical program we will enjoy lunches right by the Bosphorus, and a social event with dinner. Host City - IstanbulIstanbul is located in both Europe and Asia, separated by the Bosphorus strait. It has a tremendously rich history and culture; and was the second most visited city in the world in 2024.
It is advised to allow at least a few days to see the main attractions. We always have a great exchange between operations research and analytics professionals in our industry. This year as well, join us, present your work and ideas to a diverse audience of industry leaders, receive feedback and suggestions, and help generate new ideas. Talks can be on any relevant topic, including but not limited to network planning, fleet planning, robust scheduling, schedule reliability, gate assignment, block time design, demand forecasting, market share forecasting, maintenance routing, schedule adjustments to reduce crew demand and costs, and more. Especially this year, we encourage talks on synergies between network and schedule optimization and crew planning, scheduling, and training.
