This year's Symposium will offer the latest innovation in airline operations research. Various topics to be discussed include airline operations, airline strategy, cargo logistics, crew scheduling, e-commerce, information technology, OR management, revenue management, robust planning, and scheduling planning. Representatives from airlines, air transport associations, universities, industrial research labs, and consultants will discuss new ideas and present technical papers. The conference includes a vendor program for you to review the latest products. Come and share with us your ideas, thoughts, current trends, philosophies, and latest technological advances on any of the above or related topics.
Two keynote speakers, Chuck Thackston from ARC and Josh Marks from GEE Operations Solutions, will present their insights into our industry.
There is also a special workshop being held on Monday afternoon just prior to the start of the Symposium by GEE Operations Solutions on "SWIM" - the System Wide Information Management Program that is being implemented by the FAA. As part of the workshop, key FAA staff responsible for the implementation will provide the FAA perspective, instructions for subscribers, and an overview of new data that will be available with SWIM.
In addition, the closing Gala Dinner will take place aboard the Spirit of Washington while cruising along the Potomac River with views of nighttime Washington.
