Entertainment
Paris
continues to lure travelers to discover its many sites. If it’s
your first time in Paris, you may opt to see the classic sites that
are scattered throughout the city, like the Tour Eiffel, Notre-Dame,
the Arc de Triomphe, or Sacré-Coeur. Or visit one of the many
museums, from the world renowned Louvre and Centre Pompidou to the
lesser known Musee Picasso, Musee Rodin, or even Musee du Vin. For a
more relaxed trip, you may opt to while away in a Parisian café,
stroll down the Seine, explore Ile de Cite’s Flower Market, or
relax in one of the many parks, gardens or squares. Paris offers
activities to suite every taste and it’s beauty is
overwhelming, especially at night, when it truly is the City
of Light.
Nightlife
Eating in
Paris is not only a meal, but an event, and the options are endless.
If you wish to try regional French cousine, there is a large
diversity from which to choose; from Alsace on the German border to
the Basque country bordering Spain.
Or if French food does not suite your mood, Paris has
hundreds of restaurants serving exotic international fare,
reflecting the changing complexion of Paris itself and the city's
increasing appreciation for food from other cultures. After a
leisurely dinner, the night is yours. If you wish to take in the
local scene, there are plenty of wine bars, cafes and bistros to
choose from where you can sit back and admire your surroundings.
Else, for the more active, you can stroll along the Seine or check
out the street artists at the southeaster tip of Ile de la Cité,
behind Notre-Dame.
