City Facts
Located in Brazil, Guaruja’ is a resort town
easily accessible from Sao Paulo.

GRU – Guarulhos International Airport, 75 KM
CGH – Congonhas Domestic Airport, 55 KM
Visa
It is your responsibility to determine if a visa
is required for entry in Brazil. As of early 2005 Brazil still
requires visa from citizens of the United States, Canada, Japan,
Australia. Visitors from most European countries do not need a visa.
Visa regulations are subject to change and a group of Brazilian
lawmakers is working on a bill to augment visa exemptions. Please
check with your local Brazilian Consular Office. In case a letter from
Agifors is required with your visa application, please send a request
to

Ground Transportation
From the Airport:
AGIFORS
has made specific transportation
arrangements from the International Airport GRU to hotel Casa Grande
for anyone arriving on the morning of 25 or 26 September.
To get your booking for ground transfers between Guarulhos
Airport in Sao Paulo and Casa Grande hotel you must email estacaobr@estacaobr.com.br.
Please include your arrival date, airline and flight number.
If you plan to arrive in the morning of either Sunday September 25
or Monday September 26, there will be someone at both international
arrival halls at Guarulhos to receive AGIFORS delegates.
The rate for a one way transfer is 35 US dollars or 30 euros or
80 Brazilian reais. The transfer must be paid in cash. The arrival
halls at Guarulhos have several ATM machines that dispense Brazilian
currency. However, before 6am they are limited to dispensing 100
reais per transaction.
If your arrival falls outside the mornings of 25 and 26, you can
still get a transfer booking through estacaobr@estacaobr.com.br, but
the rates may be higher. You can also book a return from the hotel
to Guarulhos.
Conference Hotel
Casa Grande is a beach-front hotel located in
Guaruja’, Brazil. Besides a conference center, Casa Grande also has
a spa with a variety of sessions and treatments available.
Accommodations
A limited number of rooms have been blocked off
for the Symposium delegates at hotel Casa Grande. Symposium rates
start at about 100 USD per night per room. Please book early.
Hotel Casa Grande will release the rooms blocked for the Symposium
on August 31, 2005. A major credit card is required to hold your
reservations.

Registration Information
The early registration fee is US $450 per
delegate and US $150 per guest/spouse before
15 August 2005. After this date,
the regular registration fees of US$500 per delegate and US$200 per
guest/spouse will apply, with no exceptions. You may register for
the conference via the AGIFORS website using any major credit card
(including Amex, Visa, MasterCard). There will be no on-site
registrations at the start of the conference. All registrations must
be done on-line.
Cancellation Policy

Requests received before 01 Sep 2005 are subject to a US
$50 cancellation fee

Requests received after 01 Sep 2005 are subject to a US
$100 cancellation fee

Attire
Conference sessions – Hotel Casa Grande is a
resort. The dress code for attending conference sessions is resort
casual. For men a collared shirt with khakis, slacks or nice shorts
is acceptable. For women, sundresses, skirts, blouses or pants.
