The 38th Annual Symposium will be held 6-11 September 1998, at the
Hotel Diplomat in Prague.
Delegates should plan to arrive by or on Sunday, September 6,
and depart in the afternoon of Friday, September 11.

This elegant hotel, situated in a quiet residential area near the famous Prague Castle, offers extensive state-of-the-art business facilities, fine dining and modern comfort.
The registration fees have not been finalized yet. The fees will include hotel, meals*, and conference fees from Sunday evening (September 6) until Friday morning (September 11). The full registration fee will include an all-day excursion on Wednesday, September 9.

Prague - Ruzyne International Airport (PRG) is well served by major airlines. Delegates are expected to arrange their air travel through normal interline channels.
Prague - Ruzyne International Airport (PRG) is located 18km from City Centre. Hotel Diplomat may be reached by CEDAZ Ltd. Volkswagen-van/minibus or taxi. Vans and minibuses operate daily between the airport and city from 0600 to 2200; one way fare is CZK 90.00 per person. Welcome Touristic Praha s.r.o operates an airport shuttle bus between Airport, Hotel Diplomat, and City Center; the one way fare is CZK 95.00 per person. The airport shuttle departs the airport directly for the hotel every half hour from 0800 to 2200. Taxi fare is approximately CZK 400.00.
Public transportation is available; take bus number 119 to Dejvická. Bus fare is CZK 10.00 each way.
The technical program will consist of a variety of airline Operations Research papers. Airline professionals and academicians will discuss algorithms, methodologies, and successes in the areas of cargo marketing and operations; crew management (from planning crew pairings to development of bid lines); ground resource management; maintenance and inventory control; market development and research; operations control; reservations and yield management; and schedule and strategic planning. All papers will be published in the
AGIFORS Proceedings, which has wide industry circulation.
Prizes will be awarded for the best technical, most innovative and best presented papers. Delegates will be invited to vote for these awards during the Symposium.
A limited number of selected vendors will present their hardware and software products. There will be an exhibition area for live demonstrations from Monday through Thursday.
Vendors interested in demonstrating their products at this symposium or future symposia are encouraged to contact the Vendors Liaison Officer.
A full-day tour will be held on Wedneday, September 9. A spouses' program with daily excursions is being planned.
The traditional banquet and awards ceremony will be held the evening of Thursday, September 10. The dress code for this event is business attire.
