We would like to invite you to the 2009 AGIFORS Scheduling & Strategic Planning Conference.  This year’s meeting, hosted by the Hellenic Aviation Society, will be held at the Sofitel, located 50 m from the arrival and departure terminals of Athens International Airport in Keynote addresses will be given by Prof Triant Flouris, Dean of the School of Aviation Sciences at Daniel Webster College and Mr. Jordan Karatzas, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SkyEurope.  A tour of Athens Airport has also been arranged.

 

The conference welcomes all qualified papers on scheduling and strategic planning concepts and methodology.  Topics include, but are not limited to:

·         Robust scheduling

·         Integration of schedule planning with crew scheduling, revenue management, maintenance, operations

·         Schedule generation and analysis

·         Fleet planning and fleet assignment modeling

·         Alliance and code share analysis

·         Customer modeling and demand forecasting

There will be an award for best presentation/paper.  The author will be invited to the annual AGIFORS symposium (Fall 2009); the symposium fee will be waived.

The cost of the conference is $400 (USD).  Registrations received after April 13th are $450 (USD).  This includes all conference materials, refreshments, breakfast and lunch on April 30 and May 1 and the conference dinner on April 30.  The conference dinner will be held at an “authentic” Greek restaurant in a traditional neighborhood.  

 

Conference delegates can opt to participate in a narrated five-hour bus tour of Athens that has been arranged for Saturday, May 2.  An additional $70 (USD) applies for the tour and does not include admission fees for monuments or museums.  Space for the tour is limited to 15.
