We would like to invite you to the 2008
AGIFORS Scheduling & Strategic Planning Conference. This year’s meeting, hosted by Southwest
Airlines, will be held at their headquarters building in Dallas.
Gary Kelly, CEO of Southwest Airlines will be giving the keynote
address.
The conference welcomes all qualified papers on
scheduling and strategic planning concepts and methodology. Topics include, but are not limited to:

Robust scheduling

Integration of schedule planning
with crew scheduling, revenue management, maintenance, operations
·
Schedule generation and analysis
·
Fleet planning and fleet
assignment modeling
·
Alliance and code share analysis
·
Customer modeling and demand
forecasting
There will
be an award for best presentation/paper.
The author will be invited to the annual AGIFORS symposium (Fall
2008); the symposium fee will be waived.

The
cost of the conference is $325 (USD).
Registrations received after April 30th are
$400 (USD). This includes all
conference materials, refreshments, breakfast and lunch on May 13-15, a
cocktail mixer on May 13 and the conference dinner on May 14. Weather permitting,
one lunch will be outdoors with true Texas-style BBQ and a volleyball court,
so plan on “dressing down” or bringing comfortable clothes for the
meeting! The conference dinner will be
held on the top floor of SWA headquarters, which overlooks Dallas Love Field airport.
