City Facts
New York City is
located in the southeastern corner of New York State and comprises five
distinct boroughs including Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and
Staten Island. This incredible city offers everything from the ethnic flavors
of Chinatown, Little Italy to the galleries of Soho and the cafes of Greenwich,
the glitz of the Theater District, and shopping on Fifth Avenue. The reason
this city never sleeps is because that is the only way one will find the
time to see it all!
Airports
John F. Kennedy
International Airport (JFK) - located 15 miles from Manhattan, is in
the New York City borough of Queens.
LaGuardia
Airport - located 8 miles from Manhattan, is in the New York City borough
of Queens.
Newark International
Airport - located 16 miles from Manhattan, is in the city of Newark
in New Jersey.
Ground Transportation
From the Airport:
Taxi -
The standard yellow cab is metered and reasonably cheap. There is no charge
for extra passengers, but a 50-cent surcharge between the hours of 2000
and 0600 applies. From the JFK airport, there is a flat rate of $30 plus
tolls to any location in the city.
Sedan Service
- Located in the baggage claim area is a list of local sedan companies.
The approximate one-way cost to the hotel is $40-$45.

Subway -
The New York City subway, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
is efficient and affordable. Express trains run between major stops and
local trains stop at every stations. Complimentary subway maps are available
at token booths. Tokens (US$1.50) and prepaid MetroCards can be purchased
from subway booths or news agents and can be used on buses.

Accommodations
Rooms have been
reserved at the Marriott Marquis. To make reservations, call the Marriott
directly at 212-398-1900 or send a completed hotel registration form via
fax or mail. Reservations must be received by February 29 to obtain the
nightly conference rate of US$240 single occupancy/$250 double occupancy.
A major credit card is required to hold your reservations. Cancellations
must be received at least 72 hours prior the arrival date to forego charges.
Registration Information
A registration
fee of US $375 includes conference materials, social events, and all scheduled
meals outlined in the agenda. The registration fee is US $375 per attendee
and US $300 per guest. All forms of payment will be accepted on-site or
a company check may be mailed to Denne Johnson at Sabre, Inc., 4255 Amon
Carter Blvd., MD 4355, Fort Worth, TX 76155. Major credit card (Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, or Diner's Club), traveler's check, or company check
will be the accepted. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please complete
