The official language is English, but you will hear many colourful and humorous terms and sayings. Early last year (1997), the Australian Tourist Commission offered a small sampling of the most popular expressions. Sadly, ATC removed this brief Australian Slang List. However, you are in luck that your editor, a rootable bloke, is perseverant. The True Blue Aussie Slang Source offers a collection of Australian slang with translations into American and English, and links to other Aussie slang sites.

The 1996 meeting was an unprecedented success. Ueli Birrer, the local arrangements coordinator, and Swissair (SR), the host airline, was a real asset to the study group in planning the meeting. In addition to handling local arrangements, SR provided twelve (12) free tickets on behalf of registrants. United Airlines also provided space available tickets, at no cost, to some of the presenters who connected to SR gateways.
Proceedings of last year's presentations and contributed papers have been published and were distributed those who signed up for copies at the 1996 meeting. A membership database is now on-line. This site features a searchable membership database for the study group. You can update your membership information after searching for your record. Or if you are not on the study group mailing list, then add yourself.
Until some form of security (e.g., password protection) can be implemented, the database cannot be updated directly on-line. However, you notify us of any changes to your membership record, by searching for your record, updating the information returned in the fill-out form, and pressing the Update button. The new information will be added to an addendum file, which will be periodically merged off-line into a Microsoft Access database.
