Membership of AGIFORS is open to employees of airlines and
airline associations, who are qualified practitioners in OR
and/or working in the OR field. There are three classes of
membership: MEMBER, CORRESPONDENT, and DISTINGUISHED
MEMBER, depending on qualifications. Generally Members
must have a university degree (or equivalent academic qualification)
and must either be affiliated with a member society of IFORS
or have at least two years of practical OR experience. If
the applicant does not qualify as a member, but is interested
in this field, he/she can apply to be a Correspondent. Voting
rights at the Annual General Meeting, for electing officials,
or on any other AGIFORS matter is reserved for Members. Distinguished
membership is bestowed by Council on individuals who have
made significant contributions in the application of Operational
Research for air transportation.
